The weather continues to offer a pleasant surprise. Last night's forecast said clouds and a possible shower today, but by early morning the sun had come out and the weather 'app' showed bright sun from 10:00 on........fantastic break! We had not planned on too much exploring today but the sun lured us out for a trek over to the back side of the San Marco sestiere looking for a famous coffee/pastry shop called Rosa Salva. They have a couple of them here in Venice and this location offered a fun (and somewhat shorter) walk from the Academia Bridge. We also wanted to take a stroll by the apartment we rented with Noel and Clara about (10?) years ago when we came over for New Years.
We show a lot of the same photos because that's what we experience each day. The marina/yacht club next to the Residenza is one of the first views each morning as we walk to either San Giorgio Cafe or the vaporetto stop.
The vaporetto was relatively busy.......and we had to switch boats in San Zaccheria in order to get to the Academia stop. One of these days they will make the change to electric boats......the exhaust is noticeable sometimes!
